SWINDON YOUTH

The youth group is very close to the Goan Chaplaincy because it trains leaders for the Church and responsible citizens in the society.
The young people receive their formation through prayer and other socio – cultural activities.

VIGIL PRAYER

NIGHT VIGILS

The Night Vigil is a wonderful opportunity and a reminder for all the young people that they need to make time for God, to thank Him for all the gifts and blessings that they have received. It is also an occasion to discover God’s Love, Friendship, companionship, a help where young people can pray for themselves and for their needs.
It is designed especially for young people with lively singing, a prayerful ambience and proper benediction

THE UPPER ROOM

(CENACLE)

Upper Room which is also called the Cenacle, is a best opportunity for those between the age of 16 to 35 to learn and deepen their faith.
The evening starts with a decade of the Rosary, prayer, singing, Adoration and a discourse on a chosen topic which then opens into a facilitated group discussion and sharing based on the questions which are given on a handout.

Carols Presentation

The Goan Chaplaincy has been hosting the Carols presentation for many years; it brings together, scattered Goans to celebrate the Spirit of Christmas, Brotherhood and sharing; it also presents an opportunity to exchange Christmas greetings through song and music. Within this presentation, the younger generation has a chance to dress up as a nativity figure. There is also a competition held for the best stars on display, which lifts up the spirits. The full day is spent in love Brotherhood and music.

HOLYWEEN

DRESS AS A SAINT

Dress as a saint or Holyween is a fun filled event where individuals are called upon to dress up as their favorite Saints. It is an open event and anyone is free to participate.

DINE

DINE is Divine Institute of New Evangelization for the young people.
DINE is basically a residential youth Retreat which is organized by the Goan Chaplaincy for the young people in and around Swindon.
It is a very special time of re- awakening and bonding with God through talks, spiritual guidance, counselling, confessions, adorations; moreover it is a time of retrospection and spiritual uplifting through silence.
